About RIMAI

Built from two hectares in Chegutu.

RIMAI began with an inherited plot of good soil and mopane woodland in Chegutu, Zimbabwe, and an owner who wanted the money-making answer first. The school is built to answer that question for every land owner in the region.

Why it exists

Most people who hold farmland in Southern Africa were never taught the business of it.

RIMAI puts the commercial knowledge that made South Africa the region's largest producer into the hands of land owners in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia, and gives them the instruments to act on it. Rima means to farm. The school teaches you to farm as an owner.

Who is behind it

RIMAI is a product of Cabanga Africa Group (Pty) Ltd, publisher of twelve regional business magazines, and is built by Cabanga Platforms. Every one of the twelve editions carries a dedicated Farming section covering all things agribusiness.

It follows the model of the Digital Navigator certification: free to learn, paid to certify, and sold by certified agents.
